The Internet is the new god. It has and still is changing our world drastically in so many ways, and this is undeniable. Today, it is easy for us to stay connected with all sorts of people from different walks of life. I know what Peter from NTU ate for lunch, simply because I met him once at an event and added him on Facebook. I also know that Sarah has just broken up with her boyfriend and is feeling suicidal right now. No she didn't confide in me. We didn't even talk to each other back in Secondary School. But I followed her on Twitter that's why.
The Internet is creating new cultures, breaking old boundaries, and building new ones. Just a few days ago, as I was having coffee with a group of close friends, one by one they started taking out their smart phones and became fixated on their phones even though they were surrounded physically by friends. Why? To surf the net of course.
The Internet has created a technophiliac culture, where mankind has forgotten about the importance of real life.
