I Talk To Myself When I'm Alone
Tuesday, July 28, 20093:35 PM
My mum and I are extremely similar to each other in many ways. This is not necessarily a good thing because my mum is not exactly the easiest of people. But one vital difference that I like to believe in, is that my mum cares way too much. Whereas for me, I would like to believe that I care a lot less.

In this society, it is good to not care for things that hardly matter, but only for things that mean the world to you. It's so easy to get distracted today, as new and emerging temptations arise with our developing society. Sometimes it does delude one that there are too many things to care about. And one's mind and heart get overwhelmed as a result. Not good.

I also think that we are often too trusting with things we think we can trust. Like for eg, people think that they can trust Facebook to help them "stay connected" with everyone else and have vibrant social lives. On the contrary, I think that Facebook has created a "2nd Life" for such people, as they are deluded into believing that they've got vibrant social lives. When you put such people into the real world, they will find that the person who will rescue him/her from some sort of distress may most likely be the one who does not comment on his/her facebook statuses every other hour. Or when such people are made to have real communication with real people, they probably can't go any further than, "So what did you have for lunch?"

Another thing that people trust too easily is perhaps what they see and what they hear. Most people do not understand that our eyes and ears are more deceptive than any other form of cunning. Sometimes we are just so quick to believe, too lazy to think further, and we only want to comprehend what we want to comprehend. Unfortunately at the end of the day, we become nothing but mere fools because we are unable to see things for what they really are.

Religion
Sunday, July 26, 20092:17 PM
Religion is really making a huge fool out of itself these days. Look at the countless times religion has made headlines on the newspapers in a bad light in this year itself.

Christianity:

We've got psycho bitch Thio Su Mien trying to take over AWARE in order to spread her Christian belief that "homosexuality should not be condoned".
Not to forget, the Christian couple going around distributing flyers which outrightly disrespects the faiths of others. They even have the audacity to distribute anti-Allah flyers to Muslim houses. Wtf is wrong with them?

Buddhism:

The infamous "Reverend" Ming Yi who is exposed for swindling the money of thousands of average well-meaning Buddhists out there, who used the hard-earned money of these poor souls to buy lavish cars and houses all over. It is just revealed today that he also spent money in tanning salons and on pet horses in Australia. Wtf is wrong with this guy? Apart from the fact that despite his supposed tanning, he still looks fair and pasty and slimy.

Islam:

Terrorism has always been making a fool of Islam for god knows how long.
Recently in Malaysia, a woman is going to be caned for drinking beer. So the womanizing by the government officials, the blatant corruption of Malaysian police, the robbery and murder of poor Singaporeans over there, all that are okay, but drinking beer is not. Woohoo!
Did I also mention that Malaysia banned Muslims from practising yoga because it "contains corrupting elements of Hinduism"?

Seriously so far Hinduism is the only main religion here that has not touched the headlines yet this year.

What will we see next? Ming Yi also has a Jackson-esque "Neverland" somewhere in Australia where he stores little boys? Thio Su Mien has a secret cock which no one knows about? I'm not surprised man...

Beat @ Home
Saturday, July 25, 20093:14 AM
IADS played for the first time in a long time @ Home Club last night. It was good to watch them again. It was also good to hang out with people I haven't seen in ages! Except of course with the exception of some eyesores like ...

Museum on Sunday with Dewi n Djo? I certainly hope they can come. It would be fun. Afterall I haven't hung out with Dewi in a rather long time, what with our busy schedules and all.

It's good to know that so far love lives of a couple of people are working out. :) Hopefully it stays that way for a while.
