Cinematic Orchestra

Watching them tonight, and I CAN'T WAIT!!!! :D

I hope things look better from here on. Need to reposition my head a little bit. Meanwhile, I shall indulge in Nissin cup noodles. :D

Watched Race to Witch Hill with the Adam last night. I liked the movie. I think it was very entertaining and I like the alien girl very much. I think she acts very well and is very pretty. She doesn't overact like Dakota Fanning. So that's cool. She acted in Bridge to Terabithia, which is another movie I loved. Too bad she died in that movie. But she died for a purpose. Just like everyone else in real life.

So her name is AnnaSophia Robb and this is how she looks like.

Pretty or what!! Just look at her uniquely-shaped eyes! Visit her website here: http://www.annasophiarobb.com/

She's cool. She went India and hung out with the Indians. Hopefully she doesn't become like a Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton when she's older.

The IADS boys left for the States this morning, along with the Kittywu folks, Leonard Soosay, Junaidi as drum tech, and John Ling. I will miss them (actually just him, hehe.. and maybe the Kittywu folks..) to the cores of the earth. I hope they will be safe. And most important of all, I hope they kickass in America and show them what Singapore's got.

I hope when they get back, AK won't become some rockstar overnight and have millions of shows and millions of girls throwing themselves at him next time. =X

Today Mel James and I went to watch a world gig at the Mosaic Music Festival. We particularly enjoyed this World artiste from America, Omega. She is just damn awesome, along with her sessionists.

Even though she sang in Lugandian, her mother tongue, I still felt inspired and moved by her music. I still felt like I somehow understood what she was trying to say. I think perhaps this is what true music does to you. It is when it becomes the universal language which everyone can somehow understand and feel touched by it.

I feel like practicing singing everyday now.

Living Up To Expectations
Saturday, March 14, 20097:11 PM
But what expectations? Why is there a constant pressure to live up to other people's expectations when nobody should be expecting anything out of your miserable life apart from you yourself? Why are we so afraid of another, when we are not so different after all? What is there to be afraid of? At the end of the day, we end up at the same place in the same state.

We are not so different from a piece of wood, or a bar of gold, or a wilting flower, or a new-born calf. Humans should really stop making such a big deal out of themselves.

Sometimes I can't help but wonder, why God created us to have all these different kinds of emotions and characteristics. Above all, why did God create us with stark consciousness? Why make us such proud creatures when at the end of the day, we are in fact so truly insignificant and forgettable as compared to the whole universe?

I mean, do stars feel pride before they die? Are they willing to let go of the energy they will gradually cease to have when they die? Are stars proud too? Or do they graciously accept their destinies and give it up quietly?

I guess that is one of the many things I will never find out before I die.

I find it strangely amusing at how all these people try to make other people's business their own business. I mean, so what if I got a job at XX company? So what if I know this guy? So what if I'm doing this and doing that? How is that any of your business? Do I know you very well?

I mean, I just can't see how knowing all these things about me will help you in your own life. Unless you idolize me or something and you want to learn something from me. Haha.. But from the looks of things, I don't think so. You people are just annoyingly nosy because you guys kinda need a life?

I may be very young. But I am no fool.

Manila is crazy
Friday, March 6, 20093:39 PM
We had a close shave with death last night. We were at a club, Route 196, and then we hopped into a cab to go back to the dorm. And it was just our luck to get this really stupid taxi driver who couldn't really understand English. So we told him, just drive us to Metrodorm, near Ortiga Centre, thinking that he would at least know the areas in his own hometown.

So after driving for quite a while, and realizing that we are in an area that is not familiar anymore, Amran asked the taxi driver, "Do you know where you're going?" The stupid taxi driver said in a really small voice, "errr... I'm not pretty sure..." CCB!!! Not pretty sure then just quietly keep on driving???/

We told him to drive to Julia Vargas Rd (or something that sounds like that) and he said okokokok.. So in the middle of the fucking highway, HE REVERSED!!!! And we heard a loud and long horn from behind us (like the kind of horn u hear from trains), and a fucking cement truck SPED past us. It was only INCHES away from us. This cement truck was fucking speeding okay? And this stupid taxi driver reversed on a fucking highway!! The cement truck was so bloody close to smashing us to smithereens! We were all like WTF??!!!

So everybody was holding each other damn tightly, and the taxi driver managed to reverse out onto the main highway, and he continued driving. This stupid taxi driver didn't know where Julia Vargas Rd was, and drove us to some ghetto area. For those of you who didn't know, Philippines has a fucking high crime rate and the street people can just mug foreigners any time with guns!

He then stopped at the side of the road and asked 2 dodgy looking men for directions. And one of them had a fucking huge hole in his jeans, so huge that if he were not wearing undies, we would be able to see a full view of his cock! We laughed for a while, and didn't even dare to continue laughing because we were worried that the guy would notice us laughing at his pants and get pissed and ask us to come out of the cab and shoot us dead. We were fucking lucky for the second time that they did not decide to rob us there and then. They could have, since the useless cabbie couldn't have done anything as well since he was so small-sized and weak and STUPID.

After asking for directions, the taxi drove out of the ghetto onto the highway again. Then suddenly for some reason, the cabbie said "ahhh... *some unheard muttering*" softly, and started to veer SLOWLY from the left of the highway to the RIGHT of the highway. And all the while, there are huge lorries and trucks speeding past us okay??? And for the third lucky time, a cargo lorry barely missed us! The driver of the cargo lorry wound down his window and shouted curses at the taxi driver, which I felt he fully deserved.

We drove on, and if not for Deedee's good observation skills by noticing the correct road we were supposed to turn into, we would have been driven to the Abu Sayaff territory in Philippines and died.

It was one helluva roller coaster ride and it was scarier than any roller coaster ride I've been on man.

Cannot.

It Was Nice Knowing You. I Hope You Are In a Better Place, Wherever it is.
Monday, March 2, 20096:37 PM

Hey Arul, thanks for taking these pictures for us the other day. And also putting in the extra effort to photoshop them and make them brighter looking. Though I told Adam and Leonard that we would get you drinks someday, but guess you got promoted earlier than us, so we didn't get the chance to. Good luck to you wherever you are now, or are headed to. Hopefully it's way funner and happier in the alternate realm. See you there in XX years.

Greetings
